Object No. 42. - Rolling Mortar and pestle.
This object was inspired by an old mortar and pestle used for crushing mustard seeds. I was used by rolling around a heavy metal ball. After looking in the book of these kitchen tools from “life before”, I coincidentally came across a similar iron ball, because of this I decided to make a similar mortar and pestle.
The bowl was made from a table from a second hand place, glued together and turned on a lathe.
The shape was inspired by a ceramic tray from Höganas, Sweden.
Material: Elm wood, iron.
Tools used: saw, clamps, lathe, sandpaper, punchletters.
Size: 300x300x120
