Tom Schoonhoven is a dutch artist designer maker based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

His practice focusses on creating objects and tools for living purposes that tell a story with their own spirit, soul and narrative and will live on to have their own life.

Taking inspiration from history, traditional crafts and the origin of things, combined with a focus on the making. Whether it be the process or the tools, he aims to establish unique objects that stand on their own feet and guide to a slower and more grounded way of living.

I dream to live in a world where we care for the tools living on our sides, make them last and let them write history with us.
