Object No. 29 - Ikebana cage.

This small ikebana cage is inspired by the art of flower arangement, the object is meant to be used with a tray for water that together hold flowers or grasses in a delicate way. It is made out of copper electrical wire. The cables are stripped and the wire is flattened out.
It is formed around a turned wooden shape that acts as a mold. The strips are soldered together with the heat of an old soldering iron and released from the mold.

Text is inscripted at the bottom with a dremel.

Material: Copper wire, soldering tin.
Tools used: Pliers, knife, brass hammer, hammer, vice, ikebana mold, soldering iron, dremel.
