Object No. 18 - Door knob
This door knob was made as a replacement for the factory made door knobs available around me. By using simple turned tools that can be pressed in casting sand the mold is made for tin casting. By using tools to make a mold instead of an actual mold, the shape varies with every knob that is made, shaped by the maker. When the liquid metal is poured, a screw is inserted and held in place until hardened.
Material: Tin, screw.
Tools used: Door knob tools, casting sand, angel grinder.
