Axe No.1.
An old and corroded axe head laying around in a barn somewhere in Sweden. It was abandoned and waiting for a new life. When I found it I wanted to give it its purpose back by cleaning the rust off, sharpening it for many hours and making a new handle from a birch log. The birch came from a cut down tree, not far from where the axe head itself was found.
Material: Birch, axe head.
Tools used: Axe, saw, block plane, spokeshave, angle grinder, whetstone, sandpaper, hammer.
Size: 450x140x30.
