Awl.

This tool is used to poke holes through material for stitching or mark points and scribe lines for woodworking.

The metal shaft of the awl is found in an second hand market in sweden, it was sanded and polished to remove corrosion. The handle is made from mahogany using a lathe and a brass tube is added to prevent the wood from splitting.

The handle shape is inspired a similar tool in a craftsman workshop. The shaft is found in a “Loppis”, a swedish fleamarket like place at peoples houses. I have saved the shaft for long time, before putting it to use.
